At REEDS, our unwavering commitment has always been to transform rural livelihoods by promoting sustainable economic development. Staying true to this mission, we’re proud to introduce our latest initiative — Resources and Innovation for Sustainable Enterprises (RISE) — designed to uplift Micro, Small, and Rural Enterprises (MSREs) across India.
These enterprises are the heart of local economies. They create livelihoods, preserve traditional crafts, and nurture self-reliance in communities that are often
overlooked and underserved. Yet, despite their potential, many rural enterprises struggle with a common and critical challenge: limited market access, upskilling and visibility. Without the means to reach customers beyond their localities, their growth remains stunted.
The RISE Pilot Project
A Step Toward Market Integration & Empowerment
The RISE pilot is a bold step toward bridging this gap. Through this initiative, we will procure select products from rural producers and promote them through multiple channels, including:
- Online platforms
- Corporate gift
- hampers
- Donation coupons
- Customized sales channels
This approach not only provides much-needed product acceptability and reach for rural and micro enterprises in real-world settings.
From Pilot to Scale: Growing with Purpose and Partnerships
Insights gathered from this pilot will help shape the next phase of RISE. With feedback from stakeholders, we will refine our strategies to build a scalable, sustainable, and impactful model. But we know this journey cannot be taken alone. We aim to scale through strong, collaborative partnerships — working hand-in-hand with corporates, NGOs, and social enterprises to create an inclusive, resilient supply chain that truly empowers rural entrepreneurs.
